You win hands down By Laura Sansom presented by Andy Anson
For a few years it was good, sound. I was never sad when you were around. We had some good times, despite my protests. We were good at winning, passed the test. Relationship goals a must, won when set. Working on it from the day we met.
Time gave out, it didn’t stay that way And we’d take them forever and a day. Memories make me hold on to this way To what’s coming, to what’s owed, To what’s due down the road. You win hands down, being your own.
It’s just a shock to see that picture. A tale differently told then, now here’s the kicker One of us grew wings and had to fly. It ended on a preciously gracious goodbye (With me wearing tired eyes) from this lonely heart. You won hands down in taking us apart
Time gave out, it didn’t stay that way And we’d take them forever and a day Memories make me hold on to this way To what’s coming, to what’s owed To what’s due down the road. You win hands down, being your own
I think I’ve finally found it within me To assess and let the past be free To wish you all the luck, I can carry on you see. I hope whatever the way you feel the way you have to go You’ll get what you want in the end I promise you You won hands down, you made it so.
Time gave out, it didn’t stay that way And we’d take them forever and a day Memories make me hold on to this way To what’s coming, to what’s owed To what’s due down the road. You win hands down, being your own
